terminal services and windows 98 dialup

by phillipsh2 . Updated 25 years, 6 months ago

i have 4 windows 2000 workgroup servers on campus. on campus i use the 32 bit windows 2000 treminal services disk to install the terminal services client and i can access all of my windows 2000 servers. i loaded the client up at home on compaq pc and windows 98(not second edition). when i dialup my ISP and then try to access one of the servers – i get a blue screen and i have to reboot the computer. i also installed the terminal services update for IIS and even this option will freeze my compter at home with a blue screen. i have a host and lmhost file that has all of the DNS, WINS and other servers in those files. can someone please tell if they have had success in getting into a windows 2000 server via modem and the terminal services client and what operating system they are using and what settings they used on the server side?

thks
