Text direction problem in Microsoft Word

Hi,
I have installed a Persian version of Microsoft Office-2003 on my laptop. When I open a new MS-Word or Outlook page, the cursor goes to the right corner of the page as a default format and every time I need to change the page format for Left-to-Right editing. Please let me know how I can make the Left-to-Right format as default paragraph format for my bi-lingual MS-Office programs.
