This is Not a Repair Shop

I have an issue. I speak on behalf of everyone in my office.

We have a historical issue that is causing us a lot of grief. We are an ISP with various departments and services. My main concern right now is to get rid of the people who take it upon themselves to bring their PC to our office in order for us to take a look at it. I am under the impression that this has multiplied over the years due to a few simple favours that we’ve done in the past.

The dilema is that we need to find a way to let people know that we do not have time to look at their computers, nor do we even provide that level of service. Everyone in our office needs to be united on this (which we are) – but we also need to defend each other when it comes down to it.

“Well, you helped me before” – I need a tactful counter to this ridiculous line that our clients are feeding us. Gimme a break. Consult with a local shop.
