Traffic Analyzer (software) needed

I’m currently researching software packages that will analyze all incoming and outgoing traffice from a network (or network segment). Unfortunately, I am having a difficult time finding reviews of the variour productst that are out there. If anyone has a a recommendation or even a good website with review, I would greatly appreciate the help.
