Transfer user profiles

Hello all,
I recently built a small windows 2003 network for our company which has been working in a workgroup.
I will need to add the employees to AD… And many more tasks. One task has me crawling for help.
I need to know how to export then import a particular user’s settings and such, so that when they login to the domain that their icons, wallpaper, programs and such are the same as they are used to having.

The client computers are XP and the domain servers are all 2003.
Any help would be welcomed.
