Trying to access home network from Work

Hello!
At the risk of showing my inexperience with this, I have a question.
I’ve set up a W2K DSL Home Network and I want to access that Network (resources) from my work PC.
How do I do this? Do I need to publish my home network on the Internetwith a FQDN and all the trimmings or is there another, easier way?
I know about dial-up server in W98 but I have DSL.
