I am currently the Network/Systems administrator for a medium sized company that is primarily a WinNt network. There are also other networks operating systems being used on application servers, but WinNt is the primary one. I also am a department manager within one of the companies. I want to work somewhere that I only have to work with the network and computers and not everything that no one else wants to deal with. My biggest drawback is that I haven’t had time to get any certifications for any operating software and I feel that my attempts to change jobs is being restricted due to this. Is it necessary to have a certification to change jobs or do employers actually look at the resumes sent to them? Any helpful guidance is greatly needed…..
