Trying to get my foot in the IT door

Hello everyone, I just recently graduated from the University with my Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology. After four years of hard work, I finally graduated this last October. Before I attended school I was in the Air Force for 9.5 years, the last three of which I worked in the computer section of my unit. Now that I have achieved my goal, I want to move forward in my career field of choice, but I feel like I am spinning my wheels, and not getting anywhere.
I someday want to be in the positions you are in at this time, can someone please point me in the right direction, so that I may move forward. Amy ideas, insight, pointers would be greatly appreciated.
