Trying to wipe a laptop and getting “No GRLDR” error message on boot

I’m trying to wipe a donated laptop using DBAN, but when I try to boot from CD (or HD) I get a message that says No GRLDR. I’ve done some research and know this is a Linux issue, but all the help topics I’ve found suggest that I use the repair option on my Windows Install CD. Problem is, I can’t boot using the Windows CD, I just get the same error message with no options. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
