Ubuntu 8.04 printer installation.

I am attempting to install a Brother hl 4070cdw printer on an Ubuntu 8.04 installation.

I am receiving a “cups-missing-filter” message.

I have followed the instructions at Brothers web site to no avail. I have downloaded the Ubuntu drivers for this to no avail.

I use and have the cups drivers installed.

I send the information to a wireless router and then to the printer at 192.168.0.65 but I do not seem to be getting to the wireless router.

The printer does work with Windows and other linux installations. I also had difficulty installing this printer in Ubuntu 7.1.

I would appreciate ideas and suggestions, especially as it has never in my life taken 5 days to complete a simple printer installation.
