Umax Astra 1220s drivers for windows2000

Hi
Is the a way in which i can get a umax astra 1220s scanner to work in windows 2000, i the manufacture’s site for the drivers but was told that device is incompatible with win2000 so i thought there is a way to force the device to work maybe by using some drivers…

I tried to load drivers for winnt4.0 and it crashed the pc. Please advice..
