unable read some DVD/CD in LITE-ON DVDRW ROM

Hi,
I use LITE-ON DVDRW SOHW-1673S in desktop .
But I find it cannot read the linux setup CD or some movie DVD .
I use another notebook to read those CD/DVD and it is ok.
In my desktop , I read those CD/DVD as “blank” CD/DVD, no file is found .
So, what is wrong for this LITE-ON DVDRW SOHW-1673S ??
some time , some CD/DVD is ok .But some DVD/CD is not ok ??
Why ??any suggestion apart from buying new one CD ROM ???
