Unable to create a new printer on NT

Whenever I try to create a new printer on 4 out of 6 Windows NT 4 servers I get the error message:
The operation could not be completed. The RPC server is unavailable.

The RPC service is running on all 6 servers!
What can I do to create a printer on the other 4 servers?
