unable to open or save office 2007 documents

we recently update from 2003 to office 2007. Since the migration some users are having problems opening or saving any word, excel, or ppt documents. An administrator login to the same system and is able to open or save any documents. The users are getting the following messages….unable to find the path to this file, the file extension is too large. temp environment variable.
