unknown userid/password for file server

NIC upgrade has gone wrong, the server is now off the domain and is asking for a userid and password. The regular userid and password will not work.

Is there a back door into NT so I can configure the domain and NIC ?

Is there a way to start the network applet or modify the settings from DOS ?
