Upgrading Router

We currently use a LINKSYS Wireless Broadband-B Router(BEFW11S4)…we are wanting to upgrade to NETGEAR Wireless Boradband-G Router(WGT624)…when the autoinstall cd runs we get a message saying the network settings are incorrect and need to be re-set…I am completely lost as to what I need to fix and how…any help would be greatly appreciated
