As a student, I am also looking for jobs in the IT industry. To this end, I have registered with several websites (SEEKIT, etc).
Most of these sites have a facility allowing upload of personal data, such as resumes. No problem with most, but some sites just won’t accept uploads from my PC, or at least don’t appear to, as the connection times out.
Contacting the administrators of these sites has proved impossible in most cases, but when I do, the response is normally: “Nothing we can do: try using a different computer and/or connection”
Not very useful. *hmph!*
I’m running XP2 SP2. The problem is the same in IE7 and Firefox. I have added the problem sites to Trusted Zone in both browsers and firewall (Zone Alarm Pro)
Any ideas, anyone?
