Upping File Size Limit

by plawso . Updated 24 years, 8 months ago

Is there anyway to get around the 2gb file
size limit on RedHat 6.2? I am trying to
ftp a 5 gb file from a Tru64 box to a Linux
box that has an NFS mount point as the home directory. The NFS mount point is also on a TRU64 box. After transmitting2147483647 bytes, a 452 Error writing file :Success messages is received on the originating box.
directory. I know it’s a strange setup but
that’s what the user wanted and I haven’t got the hang of this Linux stuff yet.
