Urgent!! need help on safeboot

I have safeboot software on my laptop. It looks like the software has been corrupted when We experienced a power cut whilst working on the lap top. The software does not recognise the password, or allow me to retrieve my data. help!!! I need to retrieve some data on the laptop.
