JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Design and analysis of high-capacity, mission-critical Microsoft SQL Server 2000 databases (>300 trans/sec., >500GB online data)
? Maintain multi-server/multi-DB installation including replication, backup, job scheduling
? Assist developers with DB access using recent Microsoft technologies (.NET, C#, IIS, etc.)
? Design and implement database development guidelines with the individual departments
? Design, implement, and/or review database schema, queries, and stored procedures
? Profile DB performance and create guidelines/suggestions to maximize performance
? Establish automated auditing and monitoring procedures to enforce DB security and integrity
? Availability for emergency maintenance 24×7 (requires remote computing skills)
? Experience with real-time data acquisition and/or financial transactions useful
? Document enhancements and modifications to the existing DB infrastructure
