Hi,
I recently was asked to look at a laptop running XP Pro with SP2. It is used as a stand alone and not part of a network.
The owner recently went to log on and in the welcome screen it said ‘To Begin, click on your user name’. Only problem is there are no user accounts present. I tried going into safe mode to get at the Administrator account, but it dosnt appear. I tried clicking CTRL+ALT+DEL+DEL entered ‘Administrator’ into the username and left password blank and got the ‘System could not log you on. Make sure your User name and domain are correct….’ message. I clicked on ‘options’ but it dosnt give me any!
I really need to get at this persons files as there is a lot of vital (unbacked up) work on this machine. Any suggestions?
