I am trying to find out how to set user permissions ?better?. I am also trying to save time in windows 2000. When someone logs out from a 2000 box or xp pro box, it takes a wile to log out. I have it set so they can save to there desktop and I guess large files 30 mb ++ really slow down the time it takes to log out because when you log out, that?s when all the settings are saved and files backed up to the server. Any ideas or suggestions??
I am running a small office, and im not even a network admin, and I am only 17. My friends business wanted a network with this kinda stuff and I set it up. O ya.. we are using roaming profiles because users tend to switch workstations when they are around the office, from laptop to desktop ect..
