I am developing a SCADA system under SCO OPEN SERVER 5.0.5. I have to log the events / messages to ink jet printer. I am looking out for an inkjet printer(A3size printer)which is compatible with SCO UNIX( SCO OPEN SERVER).
The SCO UNIX that I haveinstalled has inbuilt server for only HP DESKJET500 AND HPDESKJET PLUS.
When I connect HP 895C printer( A4 size printer) and configure it as HP DESKJET PLUS, I am able to print from my application using the following command sequences.
“lp -o nobanner -d printername filename.ps”
When I connect HP deskjet 1000C (Higer end model, A3 size) and use the same command sequences, I am unable to print anyting through my application. How to use Higer end HP desk jet printers through applications running under SCO OPEN SERVER 5.0.5.
Kindly give suggestions on how to use higher end hp deskjet printers under sco open server operating systems.
