I want to use Visio 2000 Enterprise edition as the documentation tool to business process analysis for our corporation’s dozen-plus subsidiaries to improve Sales Force Automation through data synchronization and executive reporting. In other words, I want to diagram workflow processes and turn them over to development team who will implement Exghange/Outlook, Access, and SQL database solutions.
Is Visio the right tool? My CIO had ruled out Rational-feder systems. He has assembled a few VBA/Access/SQL programmers and an Exchange/Outlook specialist. I am the BPA and will have over all responsibility for the quality of the outcome. Will Visio give me a collaborative environment to manage this?
