Using windows and Linux together.

I have a computer running RH Linux 7.3 Server on a network with windows 9x and xp workstatiions and a windows NT 4.0 server. In windows I can access shared folders from the linux server using Samba.

Questions
1) Where in Linux can I go to see the windows PCs, like in “Network Neighbourhood”?
2) How do I make a shared folder accessible to every one who logs on to the Linux server?
3) I would like to make a backup of my entire Linux server. How is that possible using GNOME or the terminal screen?
