VB versus VBA (Access 97/2K)

I was going to post this to the Technical Q&A but I don’t think there is really an answer that I could fairly accept or decline to award points.

I have seen several discussions explaining the difference between VB and VBA applications. However Iwant to know what factors should influence my decision to use VB front-ends vs. Access front-ends (created to use the Access runtime) to access an SQL Server database?

Does one method have significant advantages over the other in an environmentwhere some will be accessing the database via the Web and others through the front-end created with either Access or VB?
