Video Capture Problem

When attempting to capture digital video thru firewire connection using ati all in wonder 9700 pro card, tv tuner automatically turnes itself on making it impossible to correctly capture video. I just installed the latest drivers & thats when it became a problem. before that, the card would crash in the middle of capture. Any ideas?
