Viewing/Retrieving messages from Exchange Srvr

Is there a way to view or retrieve email messages from an exchange server? My boss received a message that an email was blocked due to an invalid certificate. It looked like his client software blocked it and he wanted me to see if I could retreive it from the exchange server. I don’t think there is anyway to do that but thought I would ask around.
