Virtual address for Excel Drop Down menu validation

I am unable to get Excel to choose an different drop down list for a second input that is dependent on the input from the first drop down menu. I need a third and maybe a fourth drop down menu too. I have managed to use a named range that looks up values dependent on the input from the first as the list. It works, but seems cumbersome. A third and fourth one will be VERY cumbersome. If there is a way of the Validation list accepting a range name that is given in cell, this will be very helpful.
