Virtual Private Network

We are in the process of implementing a Cisco VPN solution from a Pix 515. We are using Dell 5000 Inspiron equipment. Out of the box with two different devices configured with Cisco solution exactly the same. One will build the tunnel for VPN and the other will not. is has been our experience with VPN… Hit or miss… Any ideas?
