Vista Randomly Erasing CDRW Media

New computers were recently installed in my lab. They have Windows Vista Business edition and Microsoft Office 2007. Due to budget constraints I’m having my students use CDRW media to store their files.

The problem is that it appears that the disks are randomly being erased or corrupted.

Any ideas about what I need to have the students do or any changes I need to make with any settings for the drive or the OS?
