VPN changes one client won’t accept

I have a simple VPN configuration. Windows 2000/XP clinets connecting to a W2K RRAS server with a simple policy. No RADIUS only have 8 remote users. I recently replaced the VPN server which also acts as the WINS server and all of my clients except one work fine. The one that doesn’t work will authenticate fine but does not see netbios namesunless I re-enable the old WINS server. It will not map drives (by IP or netbios) or ping servers by name. What is the deal with it needing the old WINS server?
