VPN client through a DSL router

by kjohnston . Updated 24 years, 9 months ago

I am unable to establish a VPN connection to the office from home. At home I have a Netgear RT314 DSL router and at the offic is a Netscreen 10 VPN/firewall device.

I have tried forwarding many port requests to the PC on my home network including47 and 1723 and I still can’t connect.

I can connect when I bypass the DSL router so I know the Netscreen VPN is recieving and that the client software is set up right.

Any help would be great. We are planning to set up VPN connections for a number of staff and planned on insisting on gateway routers for the broadband users. Has anyone had success with other brands of gateway routers?

Thanks
