VPN connectivity using ME and NT server

by jcmoffitt . Updated 25 years, 5 months ago

Hello folks.

I have a cable modem connected LAN at home with 3 ME workstations. I want to connect my main ME workstation to a VPN port on my NT server at the office LAN/WAN. I have opened up a port on our Checkpoint firewall which allows my IPaddress (static) at home to make its way to the NT server which has a VPN Network Port set up. I am giving the VPN port a predetermined ip address for my client here at home to log in with.
I dont have dhcp installed on this particular server so I dont see how it would be able to hand out an IP address.
It appears that I am making the trip to the server just fine and my domain id and password is being accepted. After about 45 seconds the connection just drops with no apparent reason. I have a ppplog which I could share with someone if you have some experience with VPN connections.

Any help would be appreciated.
