VPN Help needed!

Hi All,

I’m in the process of choosing a VPN solution for my company. We have one main office(Cable) with one remote (DSL) — this is where the VPN is needed. NetGear, Sonic Wall and Sofaware/Checkpoint are all options at this point.

I’ve two major questions:
1. Of the three vendors, which have people had the most success, least maintenance, etc.

2. I’ve heard differing information on static IPs. One vendor said they can both be dynamic, the other two have said that one static is necessary, although it can be at either end. What is the case?
