W2k Pro & Red Hat Linux 7.3

I set up my machine to dual-boot between W2K pro and Linux 7.3, the problem that I have is that when I when I tell the machine to boot out of Windows it takes about 5 minutes to load up, and when I boot out of Linux it only takes about one minute, I have Windows and Linux installed on two separade hard drives, before the dual-boot set up windows would load up right away. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing that?
