W2K roaming profiles and slow WAN links

by br.gruell . Updated 25 years, 2 months ago

I am having a problem with my roaming profiles working over a 64kb WAN link. and was hoping someone could shed some light on it for me. I expected the profiles to be very slow and all but stop the machine during startup, but this is not my problem.
The profile is never being uploaded when the user logs off. I tested all of this on our corporate 10/100 LAN and it works flawlessly (and fast obviously) but after moving the machines to the remote location, there is nothing happenig, there seems to be no roaming profile. According to the user profile information, the profile is “roaming”. I have tried moving the profile location from our beloved netware 5 server to our 2000 DC and the same results occur.
Any ideas as to what is happening, or is the profile just timming out and being treated like a local profile. Any info would be most helpful

thanks
