What are the benefits of rooting the OnePlus 8 Pro?

Hey Guys,
I haven’t had a rooted phone since my Samsung Galaxy S4, which was nearly ten years ago. I’m seriously considering rooting my OnePlus 8 Pro, but I have no idea where to begin or what mods to use. So, can anyone tell me what its advantages are?
