In July I officially entered into the IT field serving as a Technology Coordinator/Network Administrator for a small rural school district. I like working with schools, but I’m wanting to do more of the IT work and less of the general administrative work. My thoughts are of going into consulting work with school districts, and was wondering if anyone could give their two cents worth on what directions I should go as far as certifications etc. I will probably be working with small rural districts where IT expertise is minimal. I’m not looking to make a fortune, but rather enough to get by.
Thanks in advance for any help.
