What is the possible career ?

This mail is addressed to all experienced IT -Managers.I don have much experience as an IT manager as i have recently joined…before this I was a Software Engineer.I want to know what is the day to day functionig and responsiblities of an IT manager? and what kind of career you do foresee? if somebody could mail me that will really help me in managing my career…
