What r the hot skills to learn?

I wonder what are the skills should a IT programmer needed or must upgrade for today? I’m a mainframe and 2-tier client-server (Access, PowerBuilder) application developer and wishes to advance my skills. Heard enough of the XML, ASP stuffs outside there, but unsure which one to start with.
