What was the best or worst

Software you have tried out this year? Like antispam, antivirus or other system cleaning software. I have gone through alot of software that was suppost to clean computers and stop spyware and spamware from getting to our network. Microsoft Windows xp, 2000 has updates for both. But what is the answer? Switch to a new sysem or update the old.
