What would happen to java and hard fact sharing about java

I am a java programmer and I have been in the software industry for about six and a half years and I am Indian.
I have a peculiar problem that I am not that active in finding out opportunities but whenever a major event in my life occurs that is the time I learn about the environment and how it has changed.at other times I am ‘mast'(means lost in a trance)in my work and my own little world. But Believe me or not I had predicted the current american political scene before any obvious signs showed up. I am talking about socialism taking over and probably more I had thought of US becomming the USSR. scrap the bullshit.coming back to the point I would like to force a discussion on what the fate of java would be.how would you see java and specifically webdevelopment in the futue. what kind of technologies will be taking over lets say 10 years hence. probably a requirement forecast. that there would be flying vehicles controlled by electromagnetic lanes which would be probably like packet data transfer and not a point to point mode of transportation and what role would java play in that. and is it really relevant to do programming in html..and http. is it not quite an old paradigm..
