Whats the best size for a monitor

Hi Guys,
I am trying to figure out if a larger monitor size is better for work on spreadsheets. We currently use a 19″ Dell Monitor and the company is trying to provide us with 17″ Dell monitors as it is cost effective. Will there be a big difference..
