Having been fed up slowly over time with our company’s choice of Outlook 97 for our mail client, I’m looking into new mail client alternatives.
We use e-mail HEAVILY and I can’t stress that enough. On average one of our employees will send and receive about 100 emails per day. That’s not even the highest, we have a few managers who have sent as much as 250 emails in one day.
Most of the volume includes attachments, the reason for the volume is because they send work orders, invoices and spec sheets to our network of vendors (well over 25,000 – nationwide).
Anyway, Outlook apparently can’t handle the volume we throw at it (some most users have over 100 meg .PST files, one salesperson had 500 megs of e-mail). Backing up the mail is another issue I know, but what do you guys use that seems to be able to handle (ie. NOT CRASH) when you throw high volumes of mail at it?
Thanks for your input.
