Where do I go with a CCNA?
Hello, Im a student from the Cisco academy, I allready went through the 4 semesters of Cisco academy to obtain my CCNA, Im about to go for the Cert Test, I’ve prepair my self very good and Im sure Im gonna get it, now myquestion is where do I go from here? I have experience on PC repair and I’ve done a lot of lab practice at my school’s lab we have 5 2620 Cisco routers and 5 2514 Cisco routers, 4 catalyst 1900 switches, I’ve been able to acomplish all configarations require by Cisco to pass the curse, you know Frame-relay,PPP,different WAN designs, using HDLC,PPP,Novell IPX all that fun stuff, i consider I’ve learned all the nesesary stuff to pass the test! now where do I go with that? Im gonna go for CCNP as well, now that we gonna have it at my school. How ever I’ve never work for any body in that field, I have no real experience, well as rigth now my friend was able to get me an oporunity where he works,as an intern you know NO PAY, but that’s ok with me as long as i get some experience, today was my first day and i was surprise to find that it was completely differnt than what Im studying for, wich is good because ill learn somthing differnt, but where do i go to work on what Im studing for? you know WAN’s, Routing, Switching, CCNA stuff, it seems like when i say CCNA every body goes HUUUM?? what is that? what is it about? and Im geting tired of explaining what it is!, even though i love it im starting to get concern!
WHAT DO I DO NOW, where do I start? is CCNA and CCNP really that valuable, or perhaps I should look at another career?, and if I should what would your advice be? of course computer systems related.
What kind of job can I get with what I got!
