Where should I start?

I am looking for a job in the IT field, LAN support or system administration, and I have posted my resume online, applied for a number of positions on line, and I don’t seem to be getting anywhere. I have an Associates Degree, nine years of PC build/troubleshoot/repair expiriance, seven years of network expiriance, five years of NT network expiriance, experiance with 10Base5 10BaseT 100BaseT ethernet networks and Token Ring networks. I have provided PC and LAN support in my current position forthree years (though my job title does not indicate that). I keep hearing that there is a large demand for IT professionals, but I haven’t heard anything. What am I doing wrong, and how can I better market my skils and abilities?
