Which industries are hiring?

With so much attention focused on the businesses that have been hit during the current recession, there has been little discussion on the industries that are actually hiring consultants. For example, one of our members recently suggested that the U.S. government will soon begin hiring consultants for wireless, security, and training projects. Do you agree?
