which is first server or workstation w2k

I am wondering on everyone’s views regarding which you would prefer to upgrade first to windows 2000, Servers or workstations? I have mixed reviews and opinions regarding this subject. I have met people that have done it both ways, and some that have had multiple problems moving servers first. What is your view? I would love to hear about your upgrade experience and what pitfalls you have run into.
