Which Platform, we should prefer ?

Dear Sir

as i am regulare reader of u’r notes and i am having account for same, i want
some information on following things.

As one of my customer wants to decide a platform for longterm basis. He is
thinking to go for either MS-SQL-Server and VB (as both products are of same
company) or
Oracle-VB, but as we find in india most people are using Orcale-VB, so we are
confiused, can u helps in this matter, for which option we should go.
